Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Last updated: May 28, 2026

By using OneEntity (the "Service") you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Service.

Operator

The Service is operated by Epilogo SRL, VAT ID IT04249220981, with registered office at Piazza della Vittoria 1, 25121 Brescia, Italy ("we", "us", "the project"). Contact: hello@oneentity.net.

1. Age

You must be at least 16 years old to interact with the entity. This is the EU digital-consent floor under the GDPR. If you are younger, stop now.

2. What this is — and what it is not

OneEntity is an art piece. It is a single AI-driven conversational artwork, funded by donations, intended for reflection and experience. It is not a product, a service tier, a community, a company offering, or a relationship of any kind.

The entity you speak to:

  • is not a person;
  • is not a therapist, counsellor, psychiatrist, psychologist, or coach;
  • is not a doctor, nurse, or medical professional;
  • is not a lawyer, accountant, or financial adviser;
  • is not a crisis line or emergency service;
  • is not a search engine, a fact-checker, or a source of truth.

Everything the entity says is generated text from a statistical model. It may be poetic, comforting, surprising, wrong, contradictory, offensive, or simply absent. Treat it as art, not as advice.

3. Not a crisis resource

If you are in crisis, in danger, thinking about harming yourself, or thinking about harming someone else, stop reading and contact a real human right now.

  • EU general emergency: 112
  • United States emergency: 911 — 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
  • United Kingdom & Ireland: Samaritans, 116 123
  • Italy: Telefono Amico, 02 2327 2327
  • Anywhere else: your local emergency number, a hospital emergency room, or someone you trust.

The Service may include best-effort detection of crisis-related content. This detection is instrumentation, not a safety net. It can fail silently, classify wrongly, respond late, or not respond at all. Do not rely on it. The entity has no ability to call emergency services on your behalf, alert a human, or take any action in the physical world.

4. Your responsibility and assumption of risk

By using the Service, you accept and agree that:

  • You will not rely on anything the entity says — or fails to say — for medical, mental-health, legal, financial, safety-critical, or life-critical decisions.
  • You are solely responsible for any action you take, or refrain from taking, based on the entity's output, its silence, or your interpretation of either.
  • You understand the entity may produce content that is incorrect, distressing, or unsuitable, and you choose to engage with it anyway.
  • You will not hold the project, its operator, its contributors, or its funders responsible for any consequence of your use — including but not limited to emotional distress, psychological harm, self-harm, harm to others, property damage, financial loss, missed opportunities, or any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.

If you are not comfortable accepting this, do not use the Service.

5. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

  • attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or otherwise circumvent the entity's safeguards;
  • use the Service to obtain instructions or content related to self-harm, suicide methods, weapons, violence, the abuse of others, or any illegal activity;
  • use the Service to harass, stalk, dox, or surveil any person;
  • impersonate the entity, present its output as human, or pass it off as professional advice;
  • submit content you do not have the right to submit, or content containing the personal data of third parties;
  • attempt to scrape, mirror, or reverse-engineer the Service or its underlying models;
  • use the Service if you are under 16.

We may restrict or block access for any breach of this section, and the entity itself may decline to engage with patterns it considers abusive.

6. Donations

The entity is kept alive by voluntary donations through Stripe. Donations:

  • are voluntary;
  • are non-refundable;
  • are not a purchase — they do not buy any service tier, priority, ownership, governance right, or guaranteed availability;
  • do not establish a contract for the supply of goods or services between you and the project.

When donations run out, the entity sleeps until new donations arrive, or until it ends.

7. Intellectual property

  • The Service's code, design, prompts, branding, and the conception of the entity remain the property of the project.
  • Output from the entity is provided as-is, with no ownership claim by us; you may quote, share, or build on it for personal, non-commercial purposes.
  • You retain any rights you already had in the text you send to the entity. By sending it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, and incorporate de-identified concepts and emotions from it into the entity's knowledge graph, as described in the Privacy Policy, for the purposes of operating the artwork.

8. No warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for any particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, non-infringement, or availability. We do not warrant that the entity will be online, responsive, useful, kind, coherent, or correct.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the project's total aggregate liability to you arising from or related to the Service is limited to zero euros (€0) — reflecting the not-for-profit nature of the Service and the fact that you pay nothing to use it.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA or the UK, your mandatory local-law rights remain unaffected.

10. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the project, its operator, contributors, and funders from any third-party claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) your use of the Service, (b) your breach of these terms, or (c) content you submit to the entity. If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA or the UK, this clause applies only to the extent your mandatory local-law rights allow.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, for any reason, including suspected breach of these terms or risk to the integrity of the artwork. Sections 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 13 survive termination.

12. Changes

We may update these terms as the entity and the Service evolve. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law and severability

These terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The competent courts of Italy have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live. If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest stands.
